Turn off Metered Connection

Step 1: In windows 10 search -> type in metered connection

Step 2: Best match “Allow downloading maps over metered connection” -> open it

Step 3: Now, scroll down to the metered connection and turn it off.

Step 4: Now, click on home button -> Network and Internet

Step 5: Now, click on properties -> In metered connection -> turn it off.

Turn off Background Apps

Step 1: in windows search type in windows settings and open it.

Step 2: Now, click on the Privacy settings.

Step 3: In the left side pane -> scroll down and select background apps

Step 4: On the right side option under bactround apps -> let apps run in the background and turn it off (toggle button).

If you want to choose a few applications  to run in the background then go ahead and enable it and you can choose them individually as well.
