How to Connect Airpods to Laptop

Apple Airpods will offer a great sound, compact and hours of battery life for making them comfortable for listening to music, video calls or anything else you will do on your Laptop. Connecting Airpods to a laptop is an easy process, you can connect to it through a Bluetooth device but you have to manually put your Airpods into the pairing process.

Connect Airpods to Laptop

Step 1: On your laptop on your windows search bar, search for Bluetooth and open bluetooth settings and open it. And other device settings from search results.

Step 2: It will take you to the device menu in the window settings app. After that open your Airpods case, but don’t take your earbuds outside.

Step 3: Press and hold the button on the Airpods lid until the LED flashes white and enter into pairing  mode.

Step 4: Now, on your laptop, click on Add Bluetooth or other device. In that choose add device.

Step 5: After that choose your Airpods from the list of available devices.

Step 6: If everything is perfectly done, then you will get a confirmation message. Then click on done option to close the window and start using your Airpods.

If you Can’t Hear Anything through Airpods

If you are connecting your Airpods to laptop, then audio output will be switched to wireless earbuds automatically, if not happen. Then your laptop audio is still being funnelled through your speaker. Then follow the below steps to fix.

Step 1: Give Right click on sound icon in toolbar at bottom right corner of display and click on open sound settings.

Step 2: In sound settings menu, choose the drop down output and choose your Airpods.

If you are still not getting Audio, then try closing and opening the app to produce the audio. Some windows app output will not update until you restart(it applied to music, games and even browser.

Troubleshooting If Airpods Keep Disconnecting

If Airpods are constantly disconnecting because many Bluetooth devices are connected to  your laptop. At once, several Bluetooth devices connected like say Bluetooth mouse, keyboard, Airpods etc then Bluetooth module is overwhelmed and it will not offer a stable connection to multiple devices at once.

To fix, these disconnect any of the Bluetooth devices currently in use and switch them to wired peripherals.
