  • Search for Command Prompt on windows computer
  • Right click on Command Prompt and Select Run Command Prompt as Administrator and click on yes in the UAC pop up window.
  • In elevated command prompt -> type in powercfg -l and hit enter and all power plan settings will be displayed here.
  • Now, you need to change power plan name here and type this command in command prompt -> powercfg -changename and copy and paste the name of the uid (Power Scheme GUID) newplanname and hit enter.
