Soft Reset

Process to Reset On Your Kasa Smart Plug

Step 1: TP -Link Kasa Smart plug is plugged into the power outlet, and locate the reset or control button. The button may be side or top of the device depends on the manufacturing model.

Step 2: Press and hold the reset or control button for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Until the Wi-Fi-LED Light blinks amber and green, hold the button. When it blinks, go to the Kasa app and follow the prompts you may see. If there are no prompts, then your smart plug stops blinking, then the process of reset has been completed.

Factory Reset

In this type of reset it erases settings completely returning to like a new condition 

Process Of Factory Reset On Your Kasa Smart Plug

Step 1: TP -Link Kasa Smart Plug should be plugged into an outlet.

Step 2: Press and hold the reset button on Smart plug for 10 seconds. After 5 seconds the Wi-Fi-Led Light  starts changing colour between green and amber. Another 5 seconds the Wi-Fi-Led Light will starts rapidly blinking amber colour.

Step 3: Release the button and Then all lights of Tp -link Smart plug will Turn Off for a few seconds. You can hear a Loud click sound and gets Turn ON  all power and Wi-Fi  lights. Now you can see the Kasa Smart plug with new configurations as a new device.
