Solution 1: Enable Automatic Switching on iPhone/iPad for your Airpods
Step 1: First, open the Settings App on your iPhone/iPad.

Step 1: Make sure that you are using the same Apple ID on both devices and Two-factor Authentication should be turned on for your Apple ID.
Step 2: Sign out of Apple ID on both devices (Mac and iPhone/iPad).
Step 3: Wait for few seconds and then sign in back.
Step 4: Now the Automatic Switching option should work without any issues.
Solution 5: Restart your Mac, iPhone/iPad, and reset your Airpods
Step 1: First, turn off Auto Switching on your Mac and iPhone. On Mac select “When Last connected to This Mac”; On iPhone select “When Last Connected to This iPhone”.
Step 2: Then turn off Bluetooth on your Mac and iPhone.
Step 3: After that turn off your Mac and iPhone.
Step 4: Now reset your Airpods. To do that, take your Airpods case and place your Airpods inside the case. Close the lid. Wait for 30 seconds and open the lid. With the lid open, hold down the Setup Button until the status light Flashing amber.
Step 5: Now turn on your Mac and iPhone.
Step 6: After that, turn on Bluetooth on both devices and select your Airpods.
