Solution 1: Set your Airpods as Output Device
Step 1: First Go to the Apple menu.
Step 2: Select “System Preferences” under Apple menu.

Step 5: Now select your Airpods as Output Device.

Solution 3: Charge your Airpods/ Airpods Pro
Sometimes, your Airpods won’t connect to Mac because of low battery or airpods loosing battery (draining battery fast). So take your Airpods case and place your Airpods inside the case. Then connect the case to a power source and let charge for 1 hour. After that, connect the Airpods to your Mac.
Solution 4: Forget Airpods and Reconnect
- First click the Apple icon at the top-left corner of the screen.
- Then select “System Preferences” under the Apple menu.
- Click “Bluetooth”.
- Select your Airpods from the list of devices and then click the X remove icon next your Airpods.
- Then select “Forget Device” to confirm.
- Likewise, select each device and Forget all devices.
- Now turn off “Bluetooth” and select System Preferences Window.
- Then place your Airpods inside the case but don’t close the case and keep your Airpods next to Mac.
- Now turn on Bluetooth via Apple menu->System Preferences->Bluetooth->Turn Bluetooth on.

Solution 5: Reset Bluetooth Module
- Reset the Bluetooth Module
- Factory Reset all connected Apple devices
- Enable Bluetooth logging
- Remove all device
- Hold down the Shift+Option key and click on the Bluetooth icon at the same time.
- Then select “Debug” under Bluetooth menu.
- After that, click “Remove all devices”.
- Then again click “Debug” and select “Reset the Bluetooth Module”.
