Mahabubabad Attender Misbehaves with Woman at Collector Office, Relatives Beat Him with Slippers

An attender named Murali, who works in the Revenue Department, allegedly behaved inappropriately with a woman named Yakkamma from Parvathagiri village of Mahabubabad mandal at the Integrated Collector Office.

According to the victim’s brother, their family has been visiting the Collector Office for nearly a year regarding a land compensation issue. He alleged that Murali had been misbehaving with his sister for the past two to three occasions, but she remained silent earlier out of fear.

Brother of Victim Spoke:

The brother stated that on Saturday, Murali allegedly took Yakkamma on his bike, saying he would drop her home. However, he reportedly took her to a CC road outside the village, stopped the bike, and misbehaved with her. Frightened by the incident, she did not reveal it to anyone immediately and informed her family only on Sunday.

He further alleged that Murali again behaved inappropriately with her on Monday, after which the family could no longer tolerate the situation. Angered by the repeated incidents, the woman’s relatives confronted the employee and beat him with slippers inside the office premises.

The victim later filed a complaint with Collector Sneha Shabarish and the Rural Police. Police have taken the employee into custody for questioning.
