Reset Amazon Echo Second Generation

Step 1 : First you need to plug in the echo, this process doesn’t include a paperclip like the first generation.

Step 2: Next thing you have to do is make sure that the volume is turned all the way down you’ll get the ring to indicate what volume level you have.

Step 3: Now in the echo you click all the way down as much as it’ll go it will flash the bottom there in LED indicating you are at minimum volume.

Step 4: Once that happens you want to put the microphone mute and the volume down button pressed together

Step 5: Press and hold the Microphone mute and volume down button for 20 seconds and the device will start to reset.

Step 6: Now, you’ll get a ring around the top that is an amber red and once you see that ring you can then relieve your hands from them.

After relieving you’ll get a blue light that starts the indication of a brand new reset as if you were to take it out of the box. So after a minute here you should get a prompt it says welcome to your Amazon echo or something like that but  before that you’ll be seeing first a moment you’ll get the ring that cycles that goes around the echo itself just to kind of boot up.
