Google provides a handy tool to submit urls to Google in two ways in fetch as Google tabs and after you run a fetch in Google search console and check with the status of your website URL in fetch as Google if you think or you want to update your article and submit your url to Google then Google fetches your url and put them in Google indexes only if it meets the guidelines of Google with no index no robots directives and will be added to the fetch indexed table and you can always check the response of Google bot on the same table.
Google provides two option after you run a fetch in Google search console and they are:
Fetch as Google and Crawl this url and its direct links option in search console.
If you do a fetch as Google only the submitted url will be crawled and limited to that url only and Google will be able to fetch and render one single page.
Crawl this url and its direct Links in Fetch as Google :
If you go with second option to crawl this url and its direct link then Google will be able to crawl the submitted urls and also the urls.
The submitted request will be added to the fetch history with the status of pending or complete or any followed by error some time if Google bot is unable to fetch your url.
