Check the Ring or Silent Button

First you need to make sure that your iphone ringer silent side button is on the right side then your iPhone is on ring mode if the button is on the left side means your iPhone is on silent mode and you won’t get any notification sound.

If the button is on the left side move it to the right side and check if the notification sound works on your iphone

Allow Notification ON

You need to make sure that you have allowed or turn notifications ON 

Step 1: Tap on Notifications

Step 2: Messages

Step 3: Tap on Allow Notifications.

Turn OFF Do Not Disturb Mode

Check iPhone Notification Sound

Step 1: Launch settings app on your iphone

Step 2: Now,  tap on notifications

Step 3: Scroll down to messages and tap on it.

Step 4: Now, you need to tap sounds and select the notification sound

Select Notification sound from here and make sure you select some notification sound you should receive, so don’t select it as none. If none is selected then you will not receive any notification sound.

No Notification Sound on Particular App

If you are not able to receive notifications on a particular apps like whatsapp Push notification, messenger, gmail or any other app then you need to enable notifications and sound for particular app.

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Step 2: Tap on Notifications section

Step 3: Select the app from the list and enable or turn on notifications if you are not receiving any notification sound on a particular app.

Restart your iPhone

Reset all Settings

Step 1: Launch the settings app -> Tap general -> then scroll down to transfer or reset iphone and tap it.

Step 2: Now tap reset and select reset all settings and enter your passcode and screen time passcode.

Step 3: Now, select reset all settings from the pop-up box and select reset all settings from the

pop-up box to confirm and wait until your iPhone restarts.
