To change user shell or login shell on macbook pro or air -> Open your terminal and execute chsh -s /bin/zsh

Using User Groups

Step 1: Click on Apple logo on top and then click on System Preference or System Settings or you can directly open settings app from your MacBook dock

Step 2: Click on users and group on left side menu

Step 3: Select the username on the right side and right click on it and then select Advanced Options and then enter your mac password.

Change Profiles Shell Settings in Terminal on MacBook Pro or Air

You can also change profile shell settings on your macbook pro or air and change startup shell settings and change terminal window profile.

Step 1: Open Terminal on your MacBook

Step 2: click on Settings

Step 3: Click on Profiles and then click on shell

Step 4: to change startup -> Enter run command: enter the command of the path here and hit enter.

That’s it, once you enter command path with run command the startup path will change and you can also change when shell exits using run command and by using run inside shell and other shell settings on your mac.
