How do I force my Vizio TV to update?

Step 1: Press home button to vizio tv remote 

Step 2: Navigate to System Options and Press ok

Step 3: Select Check for update and press ok and wait for vizio smart tv to check for software update and if new software is available and download and update vizio smart tv to latest version.

Power Reset Vizio Smart tv

Step 1: Power up vizio smart tv and turn it on

Step 2: Completely remove power source of vizio smart tv from wall socket.

Step 3: Wati for 60 seconds and then plug the power cable back to the wall socket.

Step 4: Now, turn on vizio smart tv an update vizio smart tv and wait for vizio smart tv to completely download and update software.

Step 1: Press home button on remote button -> Go to Settings

Step 2: Select Reset and Admin and press ok.

Step 3: Select Reset to Factory Default and press ok and input passcode if prompted 0 0 0 0 and press ok.

Step 4: Select Reset and Press ok and wait for vizio smart tv to reset vizio smart tv.

Once you factory reset vizio smart tv, all settings and all data will be erased from vizio smart tv and it will be like brand new vizio smart tv and setup vizio smart tv and go to vizio smart tv settings and update vizio smart tv and it will update software to latest firmware on vizio smart tv.

Do Vizio TVs update automatically?

If you have set vizio smart tv to update automatically when vizio smart tv update is released or update is available then vizio smart tv updates automatically to latest version and if its not updating to latest version then vizio smart tv wont update and you need to update vizio smart tv manually.
