Windows 10 comes with all awesome features and windows 10 lock screen is highly configurable and customizable as well and you can modify and change everything as per your windows 10 how you use accordingly starting from the picture that appears there to the information that it displays.
To change the lock screen settings follow the below steps:
Step 1: Press the Windows icon on the bottom left of the taskbar that runs along the bottom of your screen or alternatively you can also do this by pressing the Windows icon key on your keyboard or tablet to open the Start menu.
Step 2: With the Start menu open, you see a Settings icon and link in the bottom left corner of the Start menu. Click this.
Step 3: When the Settings app appears, click the Personalization icon, and then click the Lock screen settings.
Step 4: You will be now prompted with the lock screen settings. The options you have here allow you to change the following:
There are different background image options available from a drop-down menu, and these might vary depending on who manufactured your PC. The first option is Windows Spotlight. Here you can choose up to seven of your installed apps to display a numeric counter signifying how many new or unread items, such as email or messages, you have received.

For older PCs that that still have a cathode ray tube (CRT) monitor, you can select a screen saver animation to prevent image burn-in, which can occur when an image if left on the screen for some time.
You can auto lock windows 10 when the screen saver pops up and to do that follow the below steps:
Go to control Panel -> Appearance Personalization -> Under Power Options->Change Screen Saver and check the box on Resume, display log in screen. When you on resume for wait you will be prompted to enter password again to get back to normal screen.
Go to Control Panel -> Personalization -> In the right side bar click on Do Not Display lock screen settings -> select enable and click apply and ok.
