How to Fix Optimized Battery Charging Not Working on iPhone

On your iPhone if your optimized battery charging is not working and consuming more battery even after optimized battery charging is enabled then you need to re-enable optimized battery charging and restart your iPhone and wait for a week to optimize battery charging to work on iPhone.

Optimized Battery charging option is only available after iOS 13 update and it is enabled by default.which helps and improves iPhone battery and performance and maximizes battery performance and its lifespan.

Fix Optimized Battery Charging Not Working on iPhone

You need to enable optimized battery charging on your iPhone and to do that follow below steps.

Enable Optimized Battery Charging on iPhone on iOS 15

Step 1: Launch setting 

Step 2: Scroll down to the battery and tap on it.

Step 3: Tap on Battery Health

Step 4: Toggle Optimized battery charging is turned on.

Step 5: If it is already turned on just go ahead and refresh it.

Step 6: To refresh -> Turn off your optimized battery charging.

Step 7: Restart your iPhone and then turn on optimized battery charging.

Once you have turned on optimized battery charging then the iPhone takes 5 to 6 days to learn how your battery is  consumed and it will optimize accordingly. Use optimized battery charging only when you connect your iPhone to a charger overnight or else turn it off.

How to Turn OFF Optimized battery Charging on iPhone

To turn off optimized battery charging -> Settings -> Battery -> battery health -> Optimized battery health.

By default optimized battery charging is enabled and it will reduce the aging it learns from your daily charging routine, so it can wait to finish charging past 80% until you need to use it.

How to know if Optimized battery Charging is Active or turned ON

When you enable and turn on optimized battery charging you will see an optimized battery charging icon when your screen is locked and when your iPhone is fully charged it will show an icon.

Fix if Your Optimized Battery Charging is not Activating or Not enabling

If your optimized battery charging is not active or not turning or not enabling then you need to enable other options as well like location services, System customization and significant locations.

Enable Location Services

To enable location services -> settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> Location services turn it on.

Enable System Customization

To Enable System Customization -> Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> System Customization

Enable Signification Location 

Launch settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> Significant Location -> Tap on Significant locations.
