When you are traveling in your car and having a nice weekend trip or going somewhere with your family or friends and you are trying to connect your apple iPhone 14 or iPhone 13 or any other iPhone to your Apple CarPlay and when you open apps on your iPhone and you are not able to find carplay app or iPhone carplay is not showing on iPhone 14 or 13 then you need to make sure that your carplay isn’t restricted in screen time settings on your iPhone.
If you dont allow the carplay app in screentime -> Content and privacy restrictions then carplay wont appear on the home screen on your iPhone 14 or iPhone 13 or any other apps.
Apple CarPlay Not Showing On iPhone 13 or 14
Follow below steps and fix carplay not showing on home screen or cant find carplay app on iPhone 14 or 13.
Step 1: Open Settings app on your iPhone 14 or iPhone 13
Step 2: Scroll down and Tap on Screen Time
Step 3: Scroll down and Tap on Content and Privacy restriction settings
Step 4: Tap on Allowed Apps and you need to allow the carplay app here.
Step 5: Scroll down a bit and find the carplay app and toggle the button next to carplay and turn on and allow carplay app.
Once you allow the carplay app in content and privacy restriction settings, then you will be able to get back your carplay app on your iPhone home screen and the missing CarPlay app will be back on your iPhone 14 or 13.
Shutdown and Restart iPhone 14 or 13
If you have enable carplay on your iPhone and still not able to find carplay app on iPhone 14 or 13 then you need to shutdown your iPhone and restart it.
Step 1: Open settings -> Go to General
Step 2: Now, scroll down and tap on Shutdown
Step 3: Drag the slide to power off and wait for your iPhone to shutdown.
Step 4: Wait for 10 seconds and restart your iPhone.
Once you shutdown and restart your iPhone then carplay app will be back and missing carplay on iPhone 14, 13 will be fixed.
Update iPhone 14, 13 to latest Version
If you are running an older version of iPhone or if you have updated your iPhone to the latest version and after updating iPhone to latest version, the carplay app will be back on iPhone home screen.
After Updating iPhone to latest iOS 17, 16 CarPlay App goes Missing
After updating iPhone carplay is missing then you need to go to settings and allow carplay in content and privacy restriction settings and update iPhone to latest version will fix carplay not showing or carplay not working or any other on iPhone.
Why is CarPlay not showing up in my Settings?
If the iPhone is not showing carplay then this is due to restrictions that are applied in screen time settings and you can turn off screen time or allow carplay app in content and privacy restriction settings on iPhone 14, 13.
