Update your Microsoft surface pro laptop:
Go to settings-Update and security->Select Windows update.
If there are any pending windows updates on your Microsoft surface pro then goa ahead and update pending windows update, Once you updates you will be up and running with your keyboard. Cos lot of times, this issue will be occurring with improper or pending Microsoft windows updates or shut down of your Microsoft surface pro when updates are installing (interrupted when Microsoft surface pro is getting updated in background).
Detach Keyboard and Clean Connectors to fix Microsoft Surface pro keyboard Not Working:
Step 1: Now go ahead and detach keyboard from Microsoft surface pro.(detach it from display screen).
Step 2: Grab your Microsoft surface pro cleaner kit and apply it.
Step 3: Start cleaning the Microsoft surface keyboard connectors and gently rub on it with cotton or provided cleaning kit from Microsoft.
Step 4: Once you clean those connectors contacts on your keyboard and surface pro display as well
