Unfortunately Google Play Services Has Stopped

Restart you android device sometimes, simply restarting android device will fix this error unfortunately google play service has stopped. If restarting doesn’t help then you need to stop your google play services and install new version of play services. Step 1: Go to settings

Step 2: Scroll down to Apps section.

Step 3: Find Google play services application here and select it

Step 4: Scroll down and click on Apps details in store.

Step 5: Once you click on it, you will be navigated to play services application in android playstore automatically.

Step 6: Check whether you have any update option available. If there is an update option then you need to update your play services. If your play services is upto date then you don’t need to update.

Step 7: Once you update play services then unfortunately google play services has stopped error will now show again, once updated restart your android device.

Step 1: Open Your Google Play Store Application on Android

Step 2: Click on menu option (2 hamburger icon).

Step 3: Scroll down and select settings option

Step 4: Scroll down to Play store version and click on it.

Step 5: If your Google Play Store Application is not updated click on update (if any play store update is available – if you turn OFF automatic update then enable automatic update).

Step 6: Now your Google play store is updated by performing above steps.

Removing cache files and Data for Google Play Services Google Play Store:

To remove cache file and data for google play services you need eto clear cache and also cache data from settings options.

Step 1: Go to settings

Step 2: Navigate to Apps and click on it.

Step 3: Scroll down and find Google Play services – App info

Step 4: Click on Storage

Step 5: Click on Clear cache.

Step 6: Now Click on Manage Storage

Step 7: Now select Clear All Data.

Removing Cache Files and Data for Google Play Store:

To remove cache file from google play store perform below steps:

Step 1: Open Settings -> Click on Apps

Step 2: Find Google Play Store Application and Click on it.

Step 3: Click on Storage -> Clear Storage

Step 4: Click on Storage -> Manage Storage

Step 5: Select Clear All Data.

Now by performing above steps clearing cache files and Data for both google play store and google play services will be removed successfully and once you restart you will not see – unfortunately google play store services has stopped on your android device.

Why does it say Unfortunately Google Play has stopped?

This causes due to some corrupted files, once you clear cache and  also clear data from google play services and google play store and update both play store and play services or reinstalling will fix this error.
