Unable to Activate Face ID on iPhone 12 / 13 iOS 15

On your iPhone when you are trying to setup face id and the iPhone is unable to activate face id on the iPhone then you need to follow these simple iPhone troubleshooting methods to and get your face id activated on iPhone 12 or 13 on iOS 15.

Solution 1: Turn On Face ID Features

Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, then the Settings screen is displayed on the Screen.

Step 2: Scroll down the Screen and Click on Face ID & Passcode.then the Passcode screen is shown on the screen.

Step 3: After that Enter Your Passcode, then the Face ID & Passcode screen is displayed.

Step 4: Turned on Face ID Features of iPhone Unlock, iTunes & App Store, Password AutoFill.

Solution 2: Restart your Device

Step 1: Open your Settings App on your iphone, then the Settings Menu is displayed on the Screen.

Step 2: Click on the General option, then the General screen is displayed on the screen

Step 3: Scroll down the Screen and Click on Shut Down option, then you will see a slide to power off screen.

Step 4: slide to power off the Screen to Restart your device, then you will see an Apple logo appear on the screen.

Solution 3: Check for Software Update 

Step 1: Open Settings icon on your iphone, then the Settings Menu is displayed.

Step 2: Scroll down the screen and Click on General option, then the General screen is displayed

Step 3: Click on Software Update option, then the Software Update screen is displayed on the screen

Step 4: Make sure Software Update  is up to date, if your  software is updated then it shows iOS is up to date on the screen.

Solution 4: Turned ON Face ID & Attention

Step 1: Open your Settings App on your iPhone, then the Settings Menu is displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Scroll down the screen and Click on Accessibility option, then the Accessibility screen is displayed

Step 3: Scroll down the screen and Click on Face ID & Attention, then the Face ID and Attention screen is displayed

Step 4: Toggle on Require Attention for Face ID then you will see a enter passcode screen 

Step 5: Enter Passcode of your iphone and then you will go back to face id and attention screen.

Step 6: Toggle on Attention-Aware features and again it is asking you to Enter your Passcode.

Step 7:Enter your Passcode of your iPhone and again you are back to the face id and attention screen is displayed 

Step 8: Toggle ON Haptic on Successful Authentication.

Solution 5: Force to Restart

Step 1: Quickly Press and Release Volume Up button and Quickly Press and Release Volume down button 

Step 2: Press and Hold the Power button until the apple logo appears.

Solution 6: Add Alternative Appearance

Step 1: Open Settings App on your iphone then the Settings Menu is displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Scroll down the screen and Click on Face ID & Passcode, then the enter passcode screen is displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Enter your Passcode and you will see a screen of Face ID & Passcode

Step 4: Click on “Set Up an Alternative Appearance” , then the how to set up face id screen is displayed.

Step 5: Click on Get Started then move your head slowly to complete the circle, then the first face id scan complete screen is displayed.

Step 6: Tap on Continue  and Again it is asking you to scan your head for confirmation and Again move your head to complete the circle.

Step 7:After that Click on Continue then you will see a second face id scan complete screen is displayed on the screen.

Step 8: Click on the Done on face id is now set up .

Solution 7: Reset Face ID and Setup Again

Step 1: Go to Settings App on your iphone 

Step 2: Scroll down the screen and Click on Face ID & Passcode, then the enter passcode screen is shown.

Step 3: Enter your Passcode then you will back to the face id and passcode screen 

Step 4: Click on Reset Face ID which is displayed on the screen. 

Step 5: Press and Hold the Side Button and Click on the slide to Power off and Restart Again.

Step 6: Again go to the Face ID Setup Page and Select Set Up Face ID.

Step 7: Tap on Get Started and follow the instructions to complete the Face ID.

Solution 8: Reset All Settings 

Step 1: Open your Settings app on your iphone.

Step 2: Click on General then the General screen is displayed on the screen

Step 3: Scroll down the screen and Click on Reset then the reset screen is shown

Step 4: Select Reset All Settings the the enter passcode screen is displayed on the screen 

Step 5: Enter your Passcode then a pop up is displayed again select reset all settings to confirm it.
