Built in Airplay is available only on 2020 or 2021 models of insignia smart tv. Make sure that your macbook and your tv are on same wifi network or else it will airplay from macbook to insignia smart tv
Step 1: On top right hand side of your MacBook you will see a new icon after search icon and click on it.
Step 2: It will display screen mirroring option -> Go ahead and click on it.
Step 3: Screen Mirroring will display your insignia smart tv and all available smart tv.
Step 4: Now, click on your insignia smart tv to start screen mirroring.
Step 5: Once you click on your insignia smart tv -> you will be prompted to enter a 4 digit code for the first time when you are connecting.
Step 6: Enter the airplay code which is displayed pn your insignia smart tv and your macbook screen will start mirroring on your insignia smart tv.

If you are connected to different wifi networks on your insignia tv and different wifi network on your macbook then it will not connect. If you still face issue and screen mirroring not working then go ahead and perform power reset by unplugging power cables and wait for 30 seconds and plug back power cables and turn on insignia smart tv and try to screen mirror your macbook to insignia tv using built in airplay.
If you cant see airplay and homekit option then you need to update your insignia smart tv to latest version and airplay is only available and comes built in on insignia tv 2020 and later version of insing smart tv.
