Crocodile is a subfamily of Crocodylinae or true crocodile these are the large quatic reptile.

Crocodiles are large, carnivorous reptiles of the order Crocodilia, found in tropical and subtropical regions. Crocodiles live in wetlands or on river banks and catch their victim in the water.

They have firmed bodies and tails, short legs, and powerful jaws. When crocodile floats on the surface of the water eyes, ear, and nostrils are located near the top of the head. The ears and nostrils have valves that close by when the animal is underwater or submerged.

Crocodiles are Aggressive

Most crocodiles are more aggressive than the interconnected alligators. The two forms are distinguished by the long lower fourth tooth: in crocodiles, but not in alligators, this tooth stick out on the side of the head when the mouth is closed.

Also, the noses of most crocodiles are narrower than those of alligators. The larger species of crocodiles can be very dangerous to humans.

Crocodiles are dangerous and mostly the Saltwater and Nile Crocodiles are the very most dangerous by killing hundreds of people each year in amounts of South East Asia and Africa. American Alligators, and possibly the in danger of extinction Black Caiman, can also be dangerous to humans.

Crocodiles are Very Fast

Crocodiles are very fast over short distances, even out of water. They have extremely powerful jaws and sharp teeth for tearing flesh apart.

All large crocodiles also have sharp welters and powerful claws. They have limited sideways movement in their neck, as a result on land one can find defence by getting even a small tree between the crocodile’s jaws and oneself.

Small Crocodiles Feed Fish

Small crocodiles feed on fish and small water or aquatic animals larger crocodiles also tend to catch land mammals and birds that approach the water.

Associates of some large species sometimes they even attack and eat humans.

Crocodiles are Ambush Hunters

Crocodiles are ambush hunters they always waiting for fish or land animals to come close to water, then rushing out on to them to attack.

As cold blooded predator they can survive long periods without having food and hardly need to actively go hunting.
